Used to think Dune 1 was long in the tooth but holy s*** the entirety of these 2 movies together is flawless it’s like you need an infinite loop of a mega cut of these 2 movies going constantly in the backgroundBlade Runner 2049 still my favorite Denis film but Dune s***s on the every other sci fi franchise right now, I want to be in this world I want a 7 season Game of Thrones style tv show of this, I want that Dune 3 film to be 4+ hours long like I just want more I’m reading the books, I really wish I would’ve read them when I was younger but what I’m saying is Denis f***ing Villeneuve breathed life into this galaxy it exists tangibly in my mind now, it’s a part of me the same way Star Wars became a part of me. Denis is a master at world building, there are so many unique variants of human forms in these 2 films so much lore to dig into, I know he didn’t invent these ideas but he substantiated them in a way no other Director working today could even come close to doing he’s leagues ahead of every other Director not named George Lucas at doing this, I just need more

I’m not interested in dialogue at all. Pure image and sound, that is the power of cinema, but it is something not obvious when you watch movies today. Movies have been corrupted by television.”
Lol no wonder he doesn’t write a lot of his scripts. Apparently he would love if he could pull off Dune Messiah with no dialogue.
Also I’m the complete opposite, give me great dialogue from dope characters and that’s all I need. The hangout/banter scenes from Goodfellas or Pulp >>>>>>>
