we’re witnessing the beginning of one of the craziest runs an actor has ever had, I’m convinced.
movie also helped convince me that Timothee does in-fact have the juice
I watched part one but I can't remember it too well. Is there a good recap vid before watching part two next week

I feel like he slipped a bit when talking about his darlings
My only complaint is the pacing of the plot, they really had to cram so much of the plot in 165 mins, I wish they made the movie 15 mins longer and gave a couple of plot points a few more scenes to just let us take in and breathe a bit, especially in the first half of the movie. For instance, when Stilgar sends Paul on that test trip across the desert, we don't even see him undergo the trip except the small scene with Chani and then he's immediately a part of the Fedaykin in the next scene, basically.
If LOTR got away with 180 - 200 mins long movies and were still very commercially viable, I wish they took that risk and made them that bit longer to give us a few breaks in the frantic pacing.
It's not a major gripe for me, and the final third of the movie delivers so much that by the end of the movie, you forget the small things like that, but looking back on it, that bothered me a tad bit while watching the movie.
Still a masterpiece tho, considering the sum of all the parts and the hugely satisfying finale, IMO.
The soundtrack has been on repeat since yesterday, Hans f***ing snapped
Yeah, I really wouldn’t have minded if it was a bit longer.
Really wanted to see Thufir & Tim Blake Nelson

Try to watch the movies the same day or night before watching Part 2
Highly benefitted me. Recaps don't do justice.
