If this flops do you think studios will stop hiring Denis for these big budget films?
No but this won’t get a sequel
Personally would’ve liked Dariusz Wolksi (Ridley Scott’s cinematographer) to have done this, but I’m not mad
Gotta see the whole thing
Wish the worm shot wasnt in the trailer, takes away the surprise. No way Denis decided that. Obviously for marketing reasons, but I guess that's understandable all things considered.
Y’all really love to sound like film auteurs with these nitpicks
it was an okay trailer. I think its getting affected by the batman trailer being so good in comparison.

Anybody who has some relative knowledge of DUNE usually only know about the “giant worms” though
You guys really aren't f***ing with the cinematography ???
Like forreal forreal ?

This s*** looks great. I think people just really wanted more vivid colors and s***. BR2049 spoiled a lot of these niggas.

I kinda understand it but yeah Blade Runner 2049 was something special. Not many films have crazy ass color palettes like that and 10/10 cinematography in every shot
There's a reason why BR2049 is a modern day classic. It's not easy to make a film like that. People don't just s*** em out, not even Villeneuve
But nevertheless the trailer looks beautiful and the final film is gonna look stunning in it's own way
Kinda reminds me of Nolan/Fincher with all the somber grey tones throughout

I agree. People just gotta keep in mind this takes place on a dreary desert planet. Everyone is miserable there, Denis probably wants to reflect that tone by using muted, sun bleached colors

I keep replaying the trailer just for that sandworm bit
when it appears out of the sand f***kkkkkk that's gonna be flames to see on the big screen with great sound systems
Also that shot of the clouds looks trippy as hell

Yea those sandworm scenes are going to be mindblowing in IMAX

This is why I NEVER watch trailers for movies I’m guaranteed to see no matter what. With corona and nothing to do I couldn’t resist and ya the worm reveal is unfortunate but had to get the buzz going
Where did you get those numbers from? There will never be an accurate number on Disney+ Mulan buys... unless Disney releases numbers themselves.

It's only half of the first book right? At least he'll be fleshing out the scenes
Timmy seems best when he has a little more energy but this looks loke itll be nice to see big screen. Hope the sound design is hype.
Watch the King. It's on Netflix. That's Timothy at his best
Music is terrible in the trailer. Why didn't they just Hans's compositions. Going to read the book since I got the time before this thing releases
