Like I ain't even hating on Denis but don't get the comparison started when Nolan had us caring about magicians, a movie in reverse, a movie about some being in reverse and some forwards, a movie in a dream within a dream(even if biting paprika). Nolan makes anime near movies where some how the acting lands and they give their best performances. Again imma rewatch Blade Runner and I am open to Dune but lets chill here

I want to see a Denis original story again not adaptation or old property cause thats where you truly see their freedom. I can only judge so much from a Blade runner or dune

Because I do agree on Blade Runner I always say the original is better because 2049 doesn't add anything to it really.

Blade Runner is bottom tear Denis imo. But it's probably his hottest movie because of the Blade Runner universe.

OG Blade Runner is a top three movie to me though so I'm bias.

There are the purest fans who like his old work and then there are the newer fans who think Tenet is peak Nolan.

Prestige is my favorite Nolan movie.

The've directed around the same amount of films and started around the same time...yet Nolan's last two films push the limits on what can be possible in filmmaking.

Yep. I can see other directors making a Interstellar, Memento, or Dark Knight (all good films, btw). I just can't picture anybody other than Nolan making a film like Dunkirk or Tenet. Kind of like how I can only see Tarantino making certain films of his.
