Can't imagine the outrage if the Druckmann said this s***, I'm still in though
https://twitter.com/Genki_JPN/status/1934601436702318718It’s simple. Kojima is an auteur with a vision, druckmann is a mediocre writer with a handful of flukes. Kojima wants to push gaming as a medium as an expression of himself, cuckman only wants only to subvert expectations for the sake of it. Kojima is completely sincere and confident in his work, cuckman is pretentious and lacks confidence in his ability (as previously stated by himself). La Creatividad has at least 5 generational classic games under his belt. Cuckman has maybe 1?
Death Stranding 2 out next week!

I’m hype but at the same time idk what even goin on
Damn I wouldn’t play this until 6 years later
are you going to provide anything to this discussion or state the obvious?
you are pathetic. man up and take it. your favourite game is trash. it is getting trashed. there are reviewers calling it literal trash. you won't like it either when you play it. man up.
feels good not being a loser like you this invested in games.
Damn, I haven’t seen cow in forever lmao
dont even want to imagine what her p**** flap look like
I have context to this now LMAO
Feels bad that i finished this in a little over a week
i wanted more

I completed the main story and did all Orders for Sam and it took me around 39 hours so its definitely not that short i just played a lot

I 100'd it and it took me 120 hours. So there's absolutely more to do. You can just blow through main missions without ever doing side ones and finish the game pretty quick.
Chapter 3 is the longest chapter by quite a lot. Once you get past Chapter 5, it picks up fast

Is it reasonable to do so as far as your character level goes? Or is it pretty difficult to do it?

Ive played the game a few times so I knew how it went and already enjoyed the game. The 100%ing was actually pretty simple. You just have to play on Hard mode in order to be able to get a Legend of Legends rank on missions. But you can choose to not do Very Hard and still 100% it.
I just wanted to do it bc I had a feeling I may not be returning to it as much once DS2 comes out

Nah I meant skipping the 100% and kinda speeding through the main missions maybe a couple side. Thats likely what I’ll end up doing as I got too many games backlogged. Grown life ain’t been too kind to my gaming habit

Oh yeah, you can still go through the main story stuff pretty fast. You wont feel underequipped.
Definitely not beating this before 2 lol, caught up at work recently.
On Chapter 5 and have to get to Mountain Knot City
I am very surprised and kind of taken aback with my own personal turnaround with this game, Chapter 2 was such a slog compared to where I am now.

Just saved in the same place last night

I’ll leave some ladders for you 🫡 you’ll need it
Finished it last night, and I can honestly say that it was a beautiful experience like no other.
I was very close in dropping it early in Chaoter 2, but I’m so glad I held on to see it through because it was worth it. It opened my eyes to what makes a game “entertaining”. Yes there’s alot of walking, but the land and the scenery are so immersive it makes you feel like you are there struggling along this terrain, delivering packages to people who have these stories to tell. I can’t for the life of me “recommend” this game though because it’s just that hard of a sell to say “Yeah, early on sucks but it gets better!” When getting better just means the traversal is going to be the same but the story is ramping up.
I don’t think Death Stranding is a game I could really go back through again. The moments in the mountains and even the trip back to Lake Knot City will forever stick with me though as they were some of the most intense and memorable gaming moments in my life. I feel like with its strange, but endearing characters is something only Kojima could pull off. I’m happy to see that the second game is getting much more praise and hype than the first, and has me even more excited I was to play On the Beach.
Replaying this, directors cut this time trying to 5 star everyone and oh man im having even more fun now
Got this game on sale last year and I remember playing it for like an hour and just not getting it. Decided f*** it and gave it another shot last week and just finished last night. Only way I can describe it is I feel like Kojima understands what makes games so compelling and reverse engineered it to create both a blockbuster and deeply personal experience. Mind blowing just pure love for the art. Even tho I got my criticisms it made me realize how there are so few "auteurs" in gaming vs film, music, etc. and there probably won't be anymore anytime soon with how big studios operate.
