This is great, some of these are definitely on my list. Have you heard Help by Duval Timothy and Suite for Max Brown by Jeff Parker? Both are in my top 5, Help is actually my favourite album this year. It reminds me of a mix of Erik Satie and some of Dean’s experiments and pop sensibility. It’s like a soul/jazz version of Zushi in a way.

mannn suite for max brown was great, that's a fault on my part was so early in the year i forgot. i remember the final track being especially sick. this is on a different tip but did you listen to rx papi at all? i discovered him late and there's so much good stuff i dunno what to include

Nah, tbh I haven’t kept up too much with the underground rap stuff like that this year, but my friends been keeping me updated with guys like bfp da packman, yn jay, veeze, shordie shordie ect. and i liked what i heard for the most part. imma check out the rx papi guy.

that's a good selection either way, there's a few threads on here for him in the last week that have some great trax we posted but he's v fresh and refreshing in that you don't need a 'curated' selection, think prime lil b

Yea, I see some threads. For rap I really just been listening to Descendants of Cain, Shrines and weight of the world this year. Mt. Marci and Àdá Irin was cool as well. Still getting into BRASS by billy woods and Moor Mother.

Favourite World Music release of 2020 besides Roaches?

I really liked Quarrel by Bar Italia, also the track Mid by Stubborn featuring Mica Levi was one of my most played tracks last year.

i loved that 'i have seen all the things...' track from the bo khat project and get 2 kno from 1995 epilepsy. pattern vip and aug freestyle were sick too. lots of bits and pieces i probably coulda added the world music logo as my #1

i haven't heard the bar italia yet and i think there were a few other projects i missed too,

Yeah, the bo khat projects are nice. CIS2 off Ireland in particular I really like. get 2 kno is a great track as well. The Mica Levi (Ruff Dog) album is really good btw. Been running it since it came out.
