all of their interviews cant deny the DB association but their pr team def tells them NOT to ask anything about dean blunt (or their age lol)
they gave away more on the office hours thing with tim heidecker
maybe they ""interview"" better on camera
they are sending the wrong writers after them

"There was a genuine cultural phenomenon of people trying to theoretically rationalise their s*** music. You’re left with people half-dancing, being obliterated with every noise under the sun all at once,” he says, loosened up after his second Greek beer. “A lot of that music is made with the intention of displaying their literary skills and ‘I’ve got every f***ing Fitzcarraldo Edition and I make s*** club music."

lmao if they got it cut it thats funny they really want as little dean association
given how pissy he got it taking her music off streaming, it makes sense
cant count him out tho the crying nudes stuff is insane and already better than a lot of bar italia stuff as big of a fan as i am
signed to matador based off the equivalent of demo's and db association is kinda insane. I wonder how younger acts on the label like water from your eyes feel about it. im sure they feel like they're in great company but its kinda insane their come up, even if i saw it a mile away (two relatable guitar guy avatars and an attractive lead female singer = profit)

its such a dean rip they're not tryna hide it bc who would even get it other than the very people hes talking about it
it was awesome to read bc its so true but also def a swipe at die hard fans like me
them saying they wanna be the next arctic monkeys was the funniest out of everything.
you hate pulp one interview and you wanna be the next arctic monkeys the next. they capture the zeitgeist all without saying the r word. its perfect, they just get it and no other act really does

the surgical incision into the label that (as a name) is bleeding to death internally
beggars group pumping blood but you can't be losing acts to mexican summer!!

ive quit the band i was in to focus on developing my instrument skills. I just been working on guitars, I wanna be a luthier one day tbh. seems like there's a market out there for those who wanna buy into a black one whose actually talented (got the black part down, talent is some years away)
its fun, its isolating. just reading a lot about guitars, listening to a lot of eno production (idk why i'm digging roxy music so much lately, my friends think i'm insane for it, as big of eno fans they are)
taking things slow. just having graduated university is tough mentally, but im hanging in there, trying to find works in museum. didnt get the curatorial assistant job i wanted (punching a bit above my weight there so to be expected). hopefully I can get work at this research center, thats what I wanna do when im not writing music.
also working on getting this practice space in the les where bob dylan used to practice at. friend of mine been working this old guy and they just been talking new york dolls and s*** like that for the past couple weeks. hopefully ill have some recorded material out then. ill share it with you personally bc I love your takes, whether you like it or not, you just get it.

when I shared my friends music, idk if u remember it, marcyline? we talked about ur critique for like weeks and just the state of music when they wrote / recorded it versus when it released, ur words stung but think it's moving his stuff forward.
lot of mid air thief influence in the new stuff

i feel like last time we talked u were f***ed up in europe with dodgy c***s and nasty partner so im glad yr back home
so sorry i don't remember 'marcyline', i always loved your writing and demos in film but that feels so long ago - the adam curtis inspo one on ye - still hope you have ideas on that in the background, i'm loose on here but i remember those well. can u remind me of my critique?

please send new s*** though, do pms even work on here anymore? send me imessage/discord and i'll tap in,
isolating can be fruitful but i genuinely wanna hear the demos. i know i'm barely present but i try not to argue on here too much because cyhi/trav threads raise my blood pressure like a red nosed australian
only things you n @cut didn't mention
no album list this year
That DJ Manny track is really good

Been really into Blood of Aza lately, looking forward to her debut album whenever it releases.

Ah thank you very much. Will work through these. I listened to that Honour album very recently actually, pretty blown away by it.
