When you are 18 to 22 that when you start fully developing your decision making parts of your brain - this is why you are "magically" considered to be able to make decisions regarding s***and substances and the such and are trusted with voting and more important jobs and so on - and yes, it is literally a few months process when you turn or close to turn 18 that your body literally starts adjusting to fill out these parts of your mental and physical that doesn't get fully completed for a few years till you are 22 to 24 for physical and mental, which is also why "for adult things" are split even further like some new access to 18 to 20 starting to develop years old, but blocked off from the not developing children while also blocked from the fully developing/develop 21+ adults

• This is also why children, teens and lower, are prone to and do the most dumb s***, some are more cruel to one another in this era and are more irrational + erratic. And are more desperate to individualize themselves, find groups of "similar ilk" and are more prone to be "submissive" to authority figures (that they deem as an "authority", which you should be able to easily connect this can be easily manipulated and used against the children by the socially deemed authority) due to their body literally trying to cope and start build the functions that will make it possible to develop these things

And here's to the "devil advocates" children are also by the majority going to be around other children, so they aren't learning from knowing better adults on top of their already literal biological impairment, while on the opposite end in society when your 18+ you are around the majority of actual adults same age to older that also enforce what you're supposed to know better about
