D4vd’s lawyers have issued a statement on his arrest, saying they will "vigorously defend his innocence":
"Let us be clear - the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death."
"There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed."
"David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence."
They likely try to play it as d**** or accidental then hid body

It's difficult to see how we will ever know the truth. I feel like in case like this, he could end up making a deal to a lesser charge. Hopefully they have enough evidence to fully get him for the murder (considering they must believe he did it) so that girl and her loved ones can have justice.
The arrest taking this long tells me they’ve taken their time to build a very strong case. D4vd never coming out of jail
its overall better to take your time to build an airtight case and not rush and throw someone on trial and potentially lose the case then u have a killer just wandering around
for this kind of case u need hella forensic experts
people combing through electronics for any possible message, file, image, etc stored somewhere that could convince a jury...
this means they probably had to go thru all his discord messages and whatever
theyll need to interview friends and families of both him and the victim probably multiple times
theyll want to subpoena phone records text records location records from various companies
theyll need to get forensic experts lined up to a***yze everything:
blood spatter in the house or scene of the crime, a***yze blood in the car, a***yze how fast she decomposed based on things like ambient temperature over x number months, what kind of injuries were on her and which of those injuries could have killer her, if any possible other thing could have killed her (eg d*** a***ysis for od, medical history, etc), have other experts ppl review the other experts work sometimes, have people tailed in some cases to see if they go back to the scene of the crime, etc
theyll want to get surveillance camera footage to prove he was definitely there at the scene of the crime, phone records to prove he hired someone else to do it if he wasnt at the scene of the crime, etc. theyll want to find his dna under her fingernails or his sweater fiber on her body and need to do forensic a***ysis on random dusts just in case. theyll want to spend time trying to get his friends to rat on him. if a gun was involved theyll want to find the gun by any means possible and get the whole history of the gun (who bought it, who sold it to who, etc. to prove only he had access to the gun at the time). if it was a knife same deal--its much harder to get a conviction without the murder weapon. and to even prove a random knife or gun was the murder weapon they need to get an expert to examine it all to prove that that particular knife/gun and no other knife/gun reasonably could have killed her
obviously he seems guilty of killing her, but theres different charges they need to sort through to nail him w. bc lets say they charge him w first degree only but jury only feels like it was second degree--he'll walk free completely. defense will try to argue its an accident (manslaughter) and not murder, a friend did it and he merely helped cover up (could just be abuse of a corpse), police might find evidence to show kidnapping plus murder vs just murder and defense will want to argue its just murder no kidnapping. all kinds of stuff. theyll also need to prove he was absolutely not insane or under the influence while committing the murder
theres a lot of stuff you need to get thru
and u cant just hold someone in jail in the us willy nilly without being confident of the charges and that you can go to trial within 6 months (right to speedy trial)
gpt ahh response
This guy career in music is cooked, brands won't touch him, other artists aside from other degenerates that belong on a list won't touch him. He's gonna pack his bags take his lil community of pedo defenders straight to twitch or kick and fade out of memory. Or he goes right wing grift.
uk.. seeing how oj's image was rehabilitated before his passing i'm not so hopeful. him being a musician lends itself to cult (re: kanye, xxx) and i cud easily see a large enough audience giving his career a 2nd life granted he doesn't get life.
perturbs me to even think about this case tho
rest in peace Celeste.
ok and why wld u ? wasnt a reply 2 u
saw the long text wall and had to let you know, even the person it was intended for aint reading all dat
Not sure if this is still the case, but it’s so sad that the body was so badly decomposed that they couldn’t determine the cause of death

your last sentence is not true anymore, they’ll hold you in that b**** as long as possible as a black man. just ask Melly
took a million years for them to even identify the guy as the central person of interest
