I’m a professional engineer bro and I heard that s*** on first listen and I hate that s***. It sounds like a mistake. If it wasn’t it was very poorly executed. There are a million other things that could’ve been done in the mix to emphasize that line. What they ended up doing ain’t it. Sounds like some amateur s***.

Just my opinion but if you like that’s cool. Just don’t say all engineers like it because that’s cap lol. I really don’t fw any of these mixes tbh. Drake mixes have been s*** ever since 40 started playing less of a role due to his health concerns.

These songs sound much different in my car than they do on my headphones. On my car speakers the distortion doesn't sound good and it gets hard to understand, but on my headphones the distortion effect comes through clearly.

There's kind of a similar effect on 30 for 30 Freestyle when Drake raps "wide-eyed and uneducated at 19". I've always wondered whether that was a mistake or intentional. I know next to nothing about engineering/producing, so if in either case it was a mistake could Noel or 40 not just have changed it?
