Bro what the f*** are you talking about

wtt was literally the two biggest rappers trying to stop drake and he still outsold, got the Grammy, and proceeded to take the rap game. It’s the ultimate test and shows why drake is the goat Kendrick has NEVER had to do s*** like that. And was able to develop as an artist without the pressure drake had, yall niggas legit are insane bro

    Cooked him

Dre gave Kendrick his first big mainstream moment in hip hop

Buried Alive Interlude was not a hit song or anything like that it was a Interlude. It wasn't a big song on Take Care either. As I said - Don Toliver's feature on Can't Say was a bigger Introduction of a new artist to the mainstream than that.

Hell, even Cut You Off has more views than Buried Alive Interlude thanks to Dre and K Dot's career

AT ALL. It’s part of the reason why he changed his whole brand. Man literally got s***ted on for having R&B influence and wasn’t considered a rapper at all until NWTS kind of - 2014 Features - IYRTITL by the general public that love anything he does now.

Otis & Niggas in Paris were more loved culturally than any Take Care song in 2011.

Take Care became more and more loved as time progressed (which is the case for most of Drake’s projects)

Kendrick Lamar wasn't popular before that at all

To who? Section .80 had a good buzz before the feature. Rigamortis had the streets going crazy before Take Care dropped.
