Ima be real, I’ve f***ed with dark souls since DS1 at release.

Except for a brief window at the release of each dark souls and partially for DS2, PVP has always been f***ing terrible.

Hit registration and lag makes it so trash that I have almost never enjoyed it. After years of PVP with DS123 and all the accumulated knowledge, most invaders have set ups for pure cancer PVP which frustrates you when you’re just trying to get through an area, and your character is not built for PvP.

I think the idea of invaders is so good, and like I said, usually at the release of the games it works really fluidly because nobody has found the meta/optimization builds. But at this point anybody consistently invading is min-maxed with PvP set ups which unless you’re similarly min-maxed and prepared for…good luck lol

i barely pvp'd in DS1 and 2 has always been laggy as hell with that

i kill invaders all the time in DS3 though and i was even jumping into Pontiff fight clubs for a while. i don't have any pvp secrets, i just play super aggressively and it pays off usually

big flex if you can beat all of them with 1 controller synced to all games.

Near the end of dark souls 1

Been playing for nearly a week straight, felt a little burnt out so I downloaded Demon Souls PS5 because it’s on sale rn. Wanted to just run around in it and see how it feels before finishing dark souls 1-3

WTF. This character creation??? These graphics????? these animations and fluidity???? I thought it was basically just a port not a full out remake

It's still the same PS3 Demons Souls just with new graphics and animations. The combat and boss fights are all the same, so pretty barebones compared to the later games. Looks pretty though.

It is 60 fps with performance mode though

Legit can’t get into from software games they bore me. Combat looks fun tho but if the story doesn’t grab me I don’t see the fun in grinding.

The only way I can enjoy games with this much grinding is an immersive story that encourages me to keep going cuz my ass has adhd lol. I beat p5 but if I didn’t enjoy the characters or story I can gurantee I would’ve put that game down in a couple hours and never picked it up again. Just how I am.

Dark souls story very underrated. Especially DS1 and Bloodborne. Very excited for Elden Ring which is supposedly more character driven.

That being said elder ring does look cool and having grrm create the story could make me want to check it out.

These games have no story technically only lore, there’s an opening cutscene for most souls games and the rest pf the cutscenes are basically boss introductions, one final ending cutscene too. The story as told through the game is very barebones and almost non existant but you can watch videos on it, to get the full story/lore you have to piece together all the info you get from dialogue/cutscenes/item descriptions

You can try Sekiro instead, it’s also a lore heavy game but there’s a clear story to follow in that game, incredible gameplay too.

Miyazaki is already an incredible writer the charme from the DS series comes from the Protagonist and you the player literally coming into this world to fulfill a destiny just because you are supposed to. But if you question your actions and what you are actually doing the story unfolds to something truly amazing.

I highly doubt this will be different in Elden ring.

Ya I know this Unfortunately that’s a big turn off for my impatient ass.

Will def look at sekiro especially after hearing it’s basically a more complex ghost of Tsushima.

If it has more of a story based focus I could be into it, From what I’ve heard they are trying to make it more accessible than previous from software games.

The graphics kinda trick you into thinking it plays better.

It still surprised me in how similar to dark souls 1 it is. Like I wasn’t expecting it to have the same backstab mechanics, same levelling system with the same things to level up etc.
