I know this site hates it but MMBS is genuinely still my rap AOTY, so the top songs in rap I’d share are largely from there lol. Rico is a close second, but a lot of my favorites on there are very much not rap (Gotsta Get Paid is f***ing fire though)
I’m loving JID and Denzel’s albums as well. Earl, Vince, Tobi Lou, Pusha also have all been in rotation.
Honestly a lot of my favorite albums this year aren’t rap (Beach House, Beyoncé, Twigs, The Weeknd, Bonobo, Tourist, ROSALÍA, HAAi) and happy to provide reccs outside of there.
Prob worth mentioning: my favorite songs by DaBaby in the past were more of his Baby on Baby style and things like Bop, less so his Rockstar type melodic work. So I’m also biased against this new one from that perspective
