It was a common word in Hip Hop. But now, you can't say that or pretty much anything just in case.

I'm with Bhris. Do your job and leave, that goes for rappers, popstars, actors,...

It's not just about the word, they made a whole song calling Gay people disgusting and filthy,
Google "Georgie Porgie" that song was so homophobic that their label had to force them to remove it from their album.

    Shut up and dribble?

It is what it is. Even an old ass tweet can damage your career. It's better to be soft and not to speak on certain topics.

Plenty of wild s*** was going on back then. There were protests against NWA, Em, 50,... but at the end of the day that made you bigger.

Now it affects your career way more.

Interesting how Questlove crossed Dababy's name out but kept Tribe who said things 1000 times worse

He aplogogized to a small portion of the people he offended and went back to work little bit after. He also had Diddy behind him, which means a lot of money to help you while people forget.

What all these situations have in common is the responses are excessive and performative

What this means is that things have changed and you can't grab a mic and say some racist speach or clown gay people.

I always say Boosie was quiet and would bite his tongue trying to avoid trouble. But he saw Dababy open the door and now he's telling Nas X to get f***ed in the ass on stage lol

Because she has no control over it like I doubt she had control over working with Pop

All label manufactured s*** she probably heard Gatti and thought he sounded cool

    obviously, no s***.

She isn't caping for them to take it down though.
If she feels so strongly where's the IG story telling her fans to not listen to the remix
Or the IG story calling out her label to take it down

I'm not taking down something I paid for. It would be f***ed up if she worked with him now, back then he wasn't doing this.

You guys just dying to blame it on the popstar lmao like she grabbed the mic and said those things. All she did was distance herself and say that she didn't recognize him because of the s*** he was doing.

At the end of the day he’s never going to get condemned by the industry no matter how many celebs condemn him. Money makes the world go round and the industry is just going to see the whole new audience of bigots that DaBaby just unlocked and capitalize on it. It’s a shame that it’s 2021 and this type discrimination still happens but you’d be crazy to say that homophobes and racists are a minority in the US. It’s f*** DaBaby btw

One hit and people will forget this. He seems to be old school like the OGs on his side, he doesn't really give a f***.

I just remember how everyone was happy when that chick from The Mandalorian lost her acting job over some tweets. And see people acting like anything happening to Dababy is too much, when we all know he won't lose his career over this. At all.

Man, they paid for that verse and it's old. If it's still on the charts it's because people love Dua.

She might even drop a remix next week or something. Wouldn't be surprised if people were streaming the original more right now.

there's a 0.0001% chance more people are streaming the original right now. I'd estimate 90% of the people listening to that song, probably more, don't even know about this situation. You think the 30 year old mom commuting to work knows that DaBaby said some homophobic s*** on stage? Nope. She's putting on her spotify playlist and moving on with her day

Well, pop fans who like the song do now. Through Dua and other pop stars and fans.

We think it affects your career way more. Morgan Wallen’s career was boosted by his controversy, despite getting taken off radio and playlists. Not sure who’s really gotten cancelled over words (not assaults)
