feelingisfirstkinda lowkey crazy how much we think about WHY we like /dislike certain music so much
sometimes i really want to push it closer to how i decide how i like what i eat in that...there's no thinking involved tbh. you just immediately know, and that's that.
there's no justification involved. like if someone were to tell you "this pizza is the f***ing greatest there ever was" or "this is the worst f***ing pizza to exist", and you try it, REGARDLESS how thorough or eloquent that person can be in discussing the vast history of great pizzas, and how that current pizza fits among that, when you eat it, you know if you like it or not.
yeah but sometimes you see a pizza covered with s*** and you're like "no one should eat that it's deranged"

lol overall it's a weak a***ogy on my part sorta
i guess the thing is that at least when i eat, you're in the moment, and you're eating it, and right away, you more or less can decide if you f*** with it or not, and it doesn't matter where it is, or what someone else has said about it. and you can't even "think" yourself to like it or dislike. you just eat it and right away you know if you do or not.
this comes from a lot of posts about clb and donda lately, and my own thoughts and experiences w those two albums and the stupid s*** i think about when thinking about those albums
it's just weird in that taste and thoughts about music can be shaped for better or worse, just more or less based on what you let others make you believe, or even what you make yourself believe. but conversely, if melon head is telling me some burger taste wonderful, and it taste bland as a motherfuck, it really doesn't matter what he has to say. you're experiencing the same thing, and can decide what you like. it sounds so obvious, but again, with music, it's almost foreign
of course, music and food are not consumed the say way, and music is more than the sense of hearing, but i think many of us --- or i'll speak for myself,--- i think too much many times when listening to some things
