It’s free
They have courses at public parks
You just go out there with your discs and play

You fw spikeball?
Yup that’s wraps

lol it really looks lowkey lame af but playing it really is fiun
its really just a way to walk thru nature n listen to an album or two. or if you have/get your friends to play, just a nice time to get together and chill and talk and play.
on the actual playing part of it, i mean you can play against other people and stuff, but it really is just about trying to improve yourself. i dont really play regular at all, but it's similar in that even if you play the same course, youre just trying to beat whatever your previous best was. but the fact that there's so many discs that fly just a little different, and different throws you can do, and angles you can throw the disc on, it really adds a lot of variety. like i'll play a course, and only use like 3 discs, or a certain type of throw just to change it up
but what's best of all is like you dont even gotta get into it like that. when i first started playing, i just had one old ass disc my friend gave me and i used that. id throw it, and the disc wouldnt go the way i wanted it to. even now, i throw it, and it doesn't go the way i expected, but its much closer to what i intended than when i first started. but there'll be moments where it DOES go like just perfect and it's a goat ass feeling.
idk man, theres like A LOT to it if you want there to be, but again, there's not much to it if you dont want there to be too. its up to you. you being up north, i know there's beautiful ass courses. most courses are free to play, so it doesn't cost money too.

the dudes that talk in this are kinda annoying but just look at the throws tbh
How you make money off this?
lol so you can play tourneys and make money if you place
and when you play in tourneys, they usually have a pot for whoever scores a hole in one. my friend won 500 bucks off a hole in one two weeks ago.
because hole in ones are less likely to happen every game, they also do things like on 2 or 3 holes, whoever gets the closest to the basket off their first throw will get money off that too.
all that said, thanks to the pandemic, the sport really boomed in popularity. so there's a lot of people, and the same way with cars, and ps5s and everything else, there's a shortage of discs. so now there's all this demand for discs that are in low supply, so people are paying crazy ass prices. the thing is that, it's not as saturated as like the shoe resell market. so its just a matter of buying discs that will sell out, and then reselling it. at most these discs will cost like 25 bucks each, but if you get a good one, you can get a nice flip like :

(the dude above posted the disc for bidding, and the buy it now price was 500 bucks. ppl started commenting with their bids, and it actually got up to 450 until someone just went up and bought it out at the price of 500 bucks)
thats the extreme, but its really common to buy a 20 dollar disc, and sell it for like 60 to 80 bucks. s***s absolutely mental
