Yeah bro I hope he drops this time

It'll still drop, the D Phoenix leaks happened well in advance to the drop and were sold by people he fell out with, this is just like a normal pre-album leak that used to happen all the time back in the day

So I just finished it in full, and man while there are definitely highlights and great moments, its just so f***ing stale on the whole. He is so locked into this specific flow he's been doing now for like 2-3 years and its just littered on 70% of these tracks it makes it hard for me to enjoy since thats never been his strength (his melodic songs obviously the major highlights of his career). Zelda/Bet is nice to finally have after 2+ years but I mean it also has that annoying flow too at the intro when the rest of the song is much better. Tony Shhnow waxed him on their collab and the other feats are just bad. The singles were some of the highlights and I liked them but didnt really love either. IDK man this is just another thrown together project from bro. Trust No One was a step forward after the fumble with D Phoenix (which has great songs but the best ones all leaked way ahead of time) but this is just a step backwards.

Overall, Carti was not s*** on yet, try again next time Dylan

    Pretty much agree.

I didn't love the singles but they're okay I guess

The first and last couple of tracks are nice. The middle is just trash tbh, like you say super repetitive

He needs to work with guys like Dylvinci and Yoga Flame who seem to actually know a bit about music

It's pretty much the same thoughts I have about D Phoenix. Slapped together and a bit pointless really. How does it take 2 years to come up with this?

It's like the process of actually releasing music is a chore to him. Is he just putting out s*** to fulfil a deal? The days of being able to coast off that mysterious/drip-feed method in the underground are over.

Nothing on this is touching his best s*** sadly. Trust No1 was way better.

Yeah I wish he went back to some of his old producers, 3/4 of the songs that are new have really good beats But on a 15 song project that isn’t enough to save it when the rapping is bad even on some of those songs. I definitely think it’s a motivation issue issue and the mysterious slow release method absolutely doesn’t work when he’s destroyed his standing with most of the old fans who just want him to make catchy songs again. The project starts with a meme he was in and a voice clip of Tyler years ago on another song and I think that really speaks to where he is at, his Internet presence and the people he associated himself with have just eclipsed his music by far. It’s sad but not surprising at all
