Goodbye V. And never stop fightin.
It’s crazy how I subtly went from hating Johnny is being sad not the hear his voice in my head anymore.
Even though it's a different story, Cyberpunk Edgerunners has to be the most faithful video game TV adaptation I've ever seen. Like this s*** is 1:1 with the game
Legit, this might be the greatest video game adaptation ever.
Yep I’m binging that show tonight
Legit, it’s getting almost Arcane level reviews right now
Just finished Edgerunners, this show is insane and really does the Cyberpunk world justice. Actually restores my hype a bit for future cyberpunk games

Agreed. I like Cyberpunk (I think in its current state it’s actually a really good game), but it definitely feels like something CDPR wasn’t quite capable of handling to its full potential.
I do think if they do do a sequel they’ll have learned a lot from this one, and given the story of the anime I’m low-key hoping that they decide to stick to having a fixed protagonist (V kind of already is, but I feel like they ought to flesh them out like Geralt and leave the RPG elements to class selection and quest choices/decisions).
Give them a set background and personality.

I see where you're coming from with the idea of a fixed protagonist, but I think for a lot of people the allure of Cyberpunk and the original goal that I believe they had was roleplaying as your own unique character living in that world.
I actually hope the next game gives you more freedom in that regard, I was disappointed when I wasn't able to rise up the Corpo ladder and my background selection in the beginning only resulted in extra dialogue options. Also the Johnny Silverhand construct idea was great, but I felt like it limited the freedom as well.

I just don’t think something like that is really viable with the level of fidelity and systems at play expected in such a game.
If they went isometric style, then maybe, but as is I just don’t see it happening.

Yeah, but its kind of what they promised with the game, which outside of the myriad of bugs and performance issues at launch was another reason people were upset. I think a lot of it was being technically restrained by older gen consoles, their vision just wasn't possible on that hardware. It might be more feasible than we think now.
Really hoping that in a future update they’ll allow you to chrome out your character appearance wise.
Like how the MC in Edgerunner evolves appearance wise throughout the series.
That’d be a pretty cool thing to see in live action.
People are finally admitting they were wrong about this game thank God
Always been a great game even tho it sometimes still looks like its slathered in grease when youre driving too fast n with the (now) occasional bug here n there
havent played since beating it when it came out but edgerunners making me wanna replay ngl
Probably will redownload this when the DLC comes out. I’m on the final mission and haven’t beat it yet.
Never ever got into Cyberpunk because of that horrendous launch but since watching Edgerunners and the sale on it, I’m having second thoughts.
With all the updates, should I take the plunge?
