s*** actually delivered on a lot of this for me
Main story was a good length, 50 hours of side missions just like fallout had and im excited to go back and try to get different outcomes for the missions need to save my neighbor this time and also save takamura
a lot of the characters like River ward and Kerry were some of my favorite characters in recent games. I was surprised how much darker this game was compared to other open world rpgs. sinnerman, the mind control mission and rivers “hunt” for the serial killer was some of the craziest side quests I’ve played in any game
I started my second play through recently but I wanna wait for the next gen graphic upgrade just to take in the difference
I like how the last several hours of the game were different based on which path you take kinda like new Vegas
the space heist and panam endings are the best imo

same here. honestly it reminded me alot of new vegas even outside the actual game elements itself, like the buggy launch.

Feb 3, 2021·edited·1 replyFinally beat it and the late game situations really had me stressing on what to pick. I liked the story even with act 3 seeming rushed. I liked the ending I got and choices too. I immediately went to watch the other endings and I think I got one of the better ones
The side quests and characters were great and we're more interesting than main missions at times. In terms of side quests, this and witcher 3 are some of the best I've seen by far. The city itself is awesome but a little shallow in gameplay. The environmental artists and designers for the city did a great job though. It's the most interesting looking city in any open world imo.
Through all the jank it was definitely a good game for me, it was just dissapointing based on what everyone expected. The last patch definitely helped with the jank and the crashes pissed me off but it's manageable. I'd definitely say to wait for the next gen version and it'll be worth it. 7/10, if they fix glaring bugs, rebalance some things, and improve small things with the next gen update if say 8.5/10

i just hope they eventually give me a reason to do a second playthrough. imo the game was good for what it was. it looked great, the plot was exciting and had emotion, and the gameplay was satisfying once you got some upgrades.
i think i enjoyed the romance quest lines and the endings the most.

I feel that the actual main story was pretty short. I did all the side s*** before ever progressing the story which was a good chunk of time, but once I just focused on the main story, it just disappointed me how short it was. Don't get me wrong, I loved the story, but I wish it had been longer. Like even with the Rivers, Panam missions it was like giving us good interesting characters, but like a few missions each and then the game was just done with them unless you used panam on the ending.

.. I find myself trying to finish this game. Just have to do the revisiting Kirk mission and then meet Hanako at embers. But man.

Just finished the game. Panam ending was amazing. I really thought about it, but this game would’ve been 10/10 if they just released it after one year of tightening up, and just on PC.
Keep humming the Arasaka violin theme nonstop.. it’s so haunting & beautiful
