I’ll say this, the disappointment from this was magnified because of social media. Cyberpunk looks trash on last gen but even when optimized it’s not going to look much better. It’s like when GTA V was released on the previous gen consoles and looked atrocious and performed bad as well.

The mistake CDPR made was being greedy and even releasing a game this demanding on old consoles when it was clear they couldn’t handle it. No amount of optimizing is going to make this look as good as people want.

And please don’t compare to games like RDR2 because that’s about the worst comparison you can have for performance and visuals in comparison to Cyberpunk.

True it does need more optimizing for lower spec’d pc. I’d like to see DF do a video on how it runs on mid tier and lower tier builds tbh.

As for the engine, I mean I may be mistaken but I don’t think CDPR team is as big as Rockstar. So I’m going to go ahead and say their testing process was skewed for time and smaller scoping purposes towards how it runs on top builds, then were thinking they’d optimize more later.

My big thing is the people that were like “CDPR, Rockstar, ND” obviously didn’t play TW3 when it first came out either. Because that was rough as well had bugs and everything. It’s just that that hype wasn’t through the roof, and they had time to patch it up with time. A lot of people gravitated to TW3 pretty late, after it went through a lot of improvement,

Gta v released on ps3 and xbox 360 before the ps4 launch and that s*** ran just fine. And how the f*** is rdr2 the worst comparison?

I only played this for an hour when it dropped because I’ve been busy with finals.

I’m on ps5 too should I wait for the next patch or play it now?

It actually didn’t run just fine lol. DF has already said this...

As for RDR2 comparison it’s a stupid comparison for several reasons...

RDR2 is vast so it’s not pushing the hardware to render all those textures and actual people and cars and everything else happening in the city together. You either ride your horse across to different towns with again shacks and s*** nothing as grand as Cyberpunk or you use fast travel. Cyberpunk in comparison is a lot more compact with all that s*** in the city there together. It’s a stupid comparison to make.

Second RDR2 is rendering trees and grass, not actual whole f***ing cities. The complexities of what is happening and being rendered in Cyberpunk trumps RDR2 by a lot.

I would argue that even if it didn't run "great" on xbox 360 and ps3 it was still a better open world game when it released than cyberpunk.

Okay so we're supposed to give a f*** why they couldn't do what they were trying to do? Please, it obvious they bit off more than they could chew. Cdpr is rightfully getting flamed right now and hopefully it motivates the devs and management to make better decisions in the future.

I've played about 10-12 hours and honestly I f***ing love this game. I've had a handful of visual bugs and only 2 crashes. Yesterday I was watching a video by DF and after seeing how it runs on PC I decided to put it down until the PS5 version is released. I want to experience this game in its best possible console form.

I just started Ghost of Tsushima and hooooooly s***.

If you’re going to criticize it criticize it. But making a comparison to a completely different type of game like RDR2 to say “See look how good this is, why couldn’t they?” Is incredibly stupid.
