Yeah but they must’ve realized at some point that the game was not feasible at all on last gen.... Is it worth taking the chance of a large part of your playerbase losing trust in the company?
They probably didn't know it would be to this extent. Ideally if they dropped this on PC and next gen first and then dropped the last gen consoles after I think it wouldn't have tanked their stock. The public perception would just be the game is too ambitious for old hardware. Reviews would have been great if it were optimized and had less bugs and better in some of the other aspects. A staggered release could have at the very least bought them time to optimize it and helped the next gen versions. The high end PC version looks great, I think next gen enhanced versions will too. It's really mainly the base consoles holding back the game

Damn what is this game
Lol this is f***ing sad
Been saying there are way more fundamental issues at hand here than just bugs
This game is not finished, or even close

I don’t think they had a choice tbh. Launching only on pc and next gen would have been suicide and i don’t think shareholders would be down for that. Not releasing on last gen consoles would be like losing 40% of profit or something. Pulling these numbers out of my ass but i think it’s realistically somewhere around there. I think they should have delayed the game and made the last gen versions as playable as possible. It is what it is tho
"I think for me the most exciting part of the game is driving your car through Night City, with your music blasting, exploring all the different districts and seeing this really advanced crowd UI system and people reacting to you… the exploration for me alone is amazing."

what a joke

people reacting
hes not wrong
u drive ur car just a bit too recklessly and they will surely react
"Ironically, I think the graphics and optimization issues are keeping a lot of people from realizing just how much of this game is poorly designed and shallow."
saw this post on reddit and yeah this about sums it up very well
people think fixing the bugs is gonna fix the game
but the core of the game isn't there, it's unfinished in almost every way
Man f*** sony and scalpers, how the f*** am i supposed to get a ps5 s*** is borderline impossible.

A lot of this is little QOL stuff that they probably can add to the game
The major stuff is what's concerning me
Combat being pure ass
AI being nonexistent
Low NPC density/Dead world
Being able to interact with almost nothing
Cops spawning next to you out of nowhere
It's like they didn't think or take their time with this game at all
How it has a 90 on Metacritic baffles me
They should have made The Witcher 4 than this. Imagine if Bestehsda reclaims the Fantasy RPG thrones with Elder Scrolls 6 and CDPR f***s up The Witcher 4

i hope cdpr doesnt focus on making witcher for atleast 3 years

exactly. but those QOL stuff feel like such no-brainers it baffles me how it wasnt in this game after 5-8 years of dev
do cdpr even playtest? lmao
it feels like these things are the first things people would give as feedback if theyd let someone playtest
when should I get this? when do y'all think it'll be rid of most bugs?
When the next gen upgrade arrives
i hope cdpr doesnt focus on making witcher for atleast 3 years
I hope they start development like rn but actually take time with it

For 8 years of work this game feels like they were so f***ing lazy with every in-game system
Is this what crunch does?
Like how the f*** do you tout "deep skill trees that fundamentally change gameplay" and all they do is increase numerical values on your gun?

I have a feeling TES 6 is going to be insane despite all the misses bethesda has been having recently.

so they basically just say f***it to cyberpunk?
