An hour and 15 minutes in and I'm just wondering how anyone even competes with Inde Navarette for best lead actress lol

in part bc I think they run Anne as best supporting

this is such a truly horrifying movie. like I have never watched anything that crawls under my skin like this movie does. it almost makes me understand why women love horror the way they do

this probably kills my desire to really watch a replay bc its so overt, but s*** like this is why I can appreciate folks who go back 10 times to watch one

yeah i had some real good tension, uncomfortableness, real unease watching obsession. was straight up on edge any time nikki was on screen, knowing that in intense violent outburst could happen at any time.

but hereditary still on another level for me. straight up ruined my life for like 2 weeks like i was just really unhappy and unsettled and disturbed irl in my actual life and at home after it and it took ages to shake

already excited for a second watch cause i didnt understand what the random freakouts + random backwards walking was lol

also this tune goes hard af

i love how the hotline was just a bored/mundane sounding guy (curry barker's voice)

somehow his lack of care makes the situation feel even more lonely and helpless.

I do like how much they bake in that this guy will have to finally do something for someone else one way or the other

I suppose he would’ve avoided that responsibility at the last second if he had the choice but I still really appreciate the build up
