My dolby showings are at 10:20. Not trying to be out that late but idk. Going again tomorrow for sure
that cut to her face frowning will probably be one of my favorite scenes from the year... I was not expecting that lol
i have so many thoughts running through my head right now that i can't fully articulate, but i just have to say, this is a certified classic.
one of the best theater experiences i've ever had with a horror film. every person that was in attendance (including myself) was horrified, laughing, disturbed all during the appropriate
moments.
inde navarrette absolutely knocked it out of the park with this role. don't think i've ever been so horrified + deeply sadden by someones character arc like i was with hers.
f*** man, this is what movies are all about. this s*** made me feel ALIVE
Hokum and this in one month. Generational.
Movie was hilarious and probably also the most unsettling s*** I've watched. Social anxiety/cringe horror in many ways. Bear is such a piece of s***, great protagonist for the story though. Nikki was incredible
Theatre experience ended up being great, everyone was in on the ride
just got out of the theater!
be careful what you wish for. I can’t remember the last time a horror movie had me this tense and shaken up. there were multiple instances where I was watching this with only one eye open. Inde Navarrette’s performance was unreal. the way she moved and acted without warning was unbelievable. Curry Barker absolutely nailed the tone and atmosphere of this film. I also wanted to highlight the score, as it felt joyful in parts while still carrying an underlying sense of eeriness throughout. easily my second favorite movie of the year so far. horror is in a really great place right now with all of this new talent emerging.
10/10
Score and sound fx were amazing, my jaw was dropped literally for minutes

Welcome brother

i'm still thinking about the lighting during this scene.......
incredible. this movie does so much with so little. just top notching directing.
just goes to show that to make true horror work you don't need massive set pieces and monsters and jump scares every two seconds.
you can easily get under audience's skin with something as simple as keeping a character in the shadows and lighting up their pupils. it works as long as it's in line with the overall story.
Seeing this again tomorrow
Haven’t stopped thinking about it since I saw it last week
Rewatch is incredible you get to watch for details
