I’ve been to Cuba you f***ing idiot, I’ve driven through the whole country and talked to a lot of people there. Not American and never been to Florida though. But you’re a good example of the people itt I was talking about.

This means nothing man, your individual story is not the end all lol

I can also bring up an anecdotal personal story of comrades who went to Cuba and spoke to people and met the president, politicians and spoke to everyday people, if anything I’d say that is a lot more valuable than whatever you will say. Just this past summer

But that’s neither here nor there, Cuba continues to enjoy the support of its own people or else it would’ve have a revolution by now

ignoring the trolls itt, this is a good modern documentary on the effects of El Bloqueo on Cuba today

    its split into 6 parts.

    Thank you

Did I say anything about whether the Cuban people support their government or not? A lot of people I spoke to support their government over there. Only thing I said was that it was evident a lot of yall have no idea what’s going on in that country at all. And I really don’t care if e-comrade of you cosplays as some important person there.

going to Cuba and working in a sugar field for a day or meeting with foreign diplomats is the opposite of "cosplay", like what?

also you're just saying s***, either explain what we're all missing that you apparently know or shut up.

I mean bro you go for fun, they go to do solidarity building with Cuban organizers and education about how Cuban community organizes and wields its collective power at the local levels

It is not the same at all, that is why you going around saying people have no clue is very ignorant

I encourage you to do some reading on Cuba

The blockade has and will be centered around everything in regards to Cuba’s development. Not even US media outlets deny it, the framing is the political orientation of why it exists

this isn’t schizo you are just under-informed

U.S don't want relations with Cuba? Uhh okay lmao.

You purposely excluded the quote by Cuba’s prime minister for a reason

Here's more from that same article that I found interesting

    — and those Cubans still living on the island. Amid growing desperation, an unprecedented number of Cubans are trying to migrate to the U.S. by any means possible. The island has lost an estimated 10 percent of its population over the last three years.

I read the rest of the article you didn't link

Fuel deliveries to the island have dropped off significantly this year, as Venezuela, Russia and Mexico, once key suppliers, have reduced their exports to Cuba.

Cuba’s prime minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, blamed the problem on deteriorating infrastructure and fuel shortages exacerbated by Hurricane Milton, which has made it difficult for much-needed fuel deliveries to reach the island.

It does a great just explaining the problems Cuba is facing.

all of these problems are directly linked to the blockade. if they could acquire fuel from any country they wouldn't have fuel shortages. if they could acquire technology to keep the lights on their wouldn't be power shortages. even if we were to ignore these things entirely, venezuela is subject to american sanctions which keep fuel deliveries at a minimum. it all comes back to the genocidal policy of american collective punishment.
