Classiquebrent didn’t have a solo charting song at the time it was just crew from years before and teezo is teezo. what im saying is they’re not guaranteed hitmakers. drake could make another song with chris brown or a song with bad bunny, bieber, a bunch of names and they’re guaranteed to sell but he’s working with artists that haven’t blown you know what im saying you don’t have to be so pedantic about it

im not saying brent was an irrelevant artist lol im saying he was not proven to doing big numbers. he was featured on a song that really everyone played a part in making big but as a long time brent fan he wasn’t as big of an artist as he is now when drake worked with him he was still underground at the time and im not saying drake is solely responsible for brent’s success im using it as an example of him working with upcoming artists that haven’t fully blown yet

he doesn’t pick artists from the gutter and give them huge moments in their discography, he puts them on a song or two of his, or jumps on a song, gives them some exposure and that’s it
he isn’t mentoring or developing anybody. look at the entire OVO label, literally none of them have done anything notable or became stars of their own whatsoever, the only one that had any semblance of success consistently is PARTY, that is it
