Prince of Broadway cover is one of the best Criterion covers I've seen in a long time

obviously personal preference but it felt like ppl shat on the new versions way too soon . general consensus became that they sucked b4 they were even watchable but i rlly ended up preferring them in the end

I have the boxset and I like the restorations of 2046, Happy Together and Days of Being Wild. I've only seen the restored version of As Tears Go by so I can comment on that film. Fallen Angels being in a completely different aspect ratio and changing scenes to black and white was beyond unnecessary and I already shared my complaints with Chungking Express

Looks like it was made by someone who has only read about film but hasnt watched it. The colors are way too neon. Looks like Barbie slop instead of Demy's beautiful pastels. Even the cast on it looks plastic.

The difference between the existing bluray and this new 4K is negligible
