ElricLe Silence was really nice once I got acclimated
dude was waxing poetic so hard over France I was getting Baklava flashbacks 
The sound effects for the flashback were hilarious and the music beautiful and used effectively
F***ing howling when girl ripped the wings off the bug and dude says he's scared of German girls now

i knew you'd like it. bresson's sauce was from this film 
an indie film that took like 2-3 years to finish no union workers, shoestring budget, film stock from the black market, screenplay based on a novel without having the rights melville's later war dramas aren't anything like his crime films except in his way of directing them. they're deeply personal films from what he observed and saw in occupied france as a soldier, citizen and a resistance member
