Wow. Criterion will go out of business if they continue to release stuff like this. I'm sure these are, 'interesting' films, but they need to be releasing films that a wide audience has heard of and desires to own on 2K and 4K. I was expecting 4K boxed sets of Bergman, Kurasawa, Fellini, etc once they started to release 4K last year. And they should really be trying to get titles from the Big American Studios and doing 4K restorations and 4K releases.

Stuff like the above will sell about 5,000 copies each, tops.

Now Kino did Miklos Jansco films and even they can tap into Glauber Rocha’s. I think it’s underseen to regular ol’ film bro level s***. I’d say these are pretty interesting picks but I’m not complaining though. I wanted them to get into what we wanted the most like After Hours. Even some underseen films in dire of reevaluation.

Finally downloaded the apps for the criterion channel on my iPad and phone even though I’ve been subscribed for like 2 years. This s*** so much better than using my browser damn.
