That whole beginning is really a struggle, but tbh I would prob feel the same with how Dragonball original series first season or two drags if I watched it from the getgo (instead of going back after dbz/gt with only a few experiences with it beforehand) and if Dragonball didn't separate by series eras - which I think the one piece anime hurts itself to a degree by it all being under the same umbrella still

I am interested in the streamlined version for Netflix or whatever (like how Kai exists for DBZ and brother for Fullmetal and a few others) and will check it out once it's further along

@vicesvotive i don't care if i am a conformist or not but i practice esotericism such as taoism, buddhism, and hermeticism which 1-3% of the entire population does

i stopped watching anime in 2006 before i got back into it around 2014 so i missed out on a lot in between

if clannad has deep esotericism like one piece then i'll watch it. otherwise, it's a waste of time.

One of many that are better. I haven't seen clannad, but based on what people say I'll most likely agree that it is better if I saw it

one piece is the 17th most popular anime rated at 8.73. only fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood (9.11), hunter x hunter (9.03), your name. (8.82), steins;gate (9.07) are more popular and rated higher. that's a good rating for an anime with a lot of filler episodes and for a manga which is the 3th most popular and 4th highest rated manga. if an anime has less watchers than one piece, then it's easier to have a higher rating, but despite how many haters drop it, it still has many fans and a high rating.

however, the best and my favorite completed anime of all time is gintama. can you even argue against that?
