Some people will say separate the art from the artist, but I think it crosses the line to becoming inseparable when the artist starts spewing bigoted hateful s***.
But with Kanye, you've also got to acknowledge his mental health problems. Obviously we don't know when exactly he is and isn't on meds, but his random manic episodes seem indicative of untreated mental issues.
If he said, "I'm on my meds again, and I renounce all of the racist hateful s*** I've said" (and actually stuck with that instead of immediately doing the same s*** again), could he be forgiven by the mainstream?
And if he did all that and dropped something TLOP-level (I think anything Yeezus or MBDTF caliber is out of the question at this point), could he regain his former status?
Or do you think it's a done deal for Yeezy and he's irredeemable?

As for the question, I get what the OP is saying. It feels weird to be a Ye fan on 2024. Hell, the same is true of Drake too though the situation is different.
A formal apology and PR Crisis management would help his image big time and win more casuals back.
I know kids who've played Ye's music out their phones and tell me that it's a guilty pleasure.
Ye is doing great as a middle aged rapper in this part of his career whos semi blackballed but it's tough looking at how his life and reputation has gone downhill.
