"this gives us 90 million deaths globally from COVID-19, in 3-6 months. 15 Holocausts. 1.5 times as many people as died in all of World War II."
that was a quicc lock
Someone posted a tweet thread earlier that was this word for word. Didn’t have the pdf though
Oh yeah, that. Saw it last night. Terrifying definitely, but nonetheless gives hope somewhat at least
So nothing lol. You act like people are purposefully giving rights away during a pandemic. This some conspiracy type nonsense come on fam.
People are MUCH more concerned about how they are going to eat the next few weeks & if they’ll get sick
And the two are extremely inter-related. Keep a population concerned with a rat race, take that away from them and show them how fragile their life is, scare them into submission, and enact some more partiot act s*** to further oppress them.
Figured you of all people might get that. The govt gonna turn this epidemic into a tool of oppression it's plain to see.
I'm not gonna pretend I know what to do, however.
"The Imperial College team plugged infection and death rates from China/Korea/Italy into epidemic modeling software and ran a simulation: what happens if the US does absolutely nothing -- if we treat COVID-19 like the flu, go about our business, and let the virus take its course?"
sounds legit cause that's the kind of numbers the french gov has been talking about if we dont do anything
What makes you say that? I thought they don’t have hospitals
They do have hospitals and test kits and everything and so far, only one sub Saharan has died from it, in addition to infection rates being much lower than in other parts of the world. Although it probably is underreported, if it were actually killing people then we would know about it, Ebola was a big deal when it happened
“Models”
My f***in parents went out for an anniversary lunch yesterday what the F***
they're in their 70's and my dad has asthma and a history of respiratory issues
IDIOTS
$10k for every tax paying citizen
I just have no faith in our government to actually help its citizens.
1k-2k is definitely where it would be. I'm praying for more though
Like for me that's perfect.
For people who make like 80k a year they might feel cheapened though
