How do any of us know how many died and precisely what they died of between December and January? Nobody was making the numbers public like that until we had something concrete to attach it to
There is at least one case that was confirmed as happened in January
I don't necessarily believe there were cases in December, but we can't know right now

ARCADE GOONCH, NOR, ESP, IRA, ROK, DEN, EST, QAT, BAH, SLN, AU, SWE, FRA, GER, NL all have more per capita infected than China. Not hard to believe the way the other countries treated it versus China. I might be one of the few people ITT who actually has contact to people in China and they are taking this f***ing SERIOUSLY in a way that Europe hasn't so far. They have f***ing apps telling you where infected people last walked and s***, besides everyone wearing masks, getting temperatures taken, AI technology tracing contacts through surveillance cameras, police escorts to the supermarket and so on. European response is a big steaming pile of bullshit in response (and way too f***ing late). Don't even get me started with the Americac response
I think they're underreporting too more than likely. But probably not by enough to disprove the fact that, being an authoritarian regime that forced everyone inside the same month, China's might not be ridiculously higher.
They cooked corpses, they have tons of people covering the streets to make sure people aren't going anywhere, your temperature and symptoms are constantly being scanned any time you enter/exit somewhere, "self-quarantine" was done in buildings the CCP mandated (not back in your own household), and, and this point is more important than anything, Chinese people LISTEN to what they're F***ING told. All these democratic nations thought s*** was sweet until bodies started dropping en masse. We're headed to the same destination it looks like
