By worse I mean years of savings and investments will be lost. Businesses will close, especially your local mom and pops. Unemployment will go through the roof because of the service and entertainment industry. And even though stores are still gonna make it, because of this whole ordeal delivery of products will take forever, it's already like that. The whole manufacturing process isn't doing well. Also all the stubborn businesses and agencies who wouldn't try work from home methods are gonna have to adapt quickly which will result in slowdowns across the board.

I'm not sure about the disease itself but I could see 5 digit deaths and 1m cases.

The virus isn't that bad, the real issue is the incompetency and stupidity of the people.
