I've been saying the entire time calculating anything right now is inaccurate because there are hundreds of thousands of recovered people who were never tested

but people love to calculate this s*** and this is the way to do it. you consider total patients vs deaths.

if you wanted to do something a little less ridiculous then you could just look at cases in critical conditions. right now out of 84,000 active cases there are 5.8k in critical condition. this gets you 7% but even then you don't know how many of those will actually die either.

thats ofc considering we have countries like italy royally f***ing up and countries like south korea where fatality rate is .9% and severe cases are .8% of active cases

theres just no good way to calculate s*** rn. we'll know the real numbers next year.
