I am vaccinated because I got so for a job but this is true for better or worse

I don't believe the CDC ever said the vaccine would prevent you from catching covid. Imma need some receipts on that.

Don't get me wrong some anti vaxers go too far but I think some on both sides need to be honest about how the approach of everything was off from offering lottery, shake shack fries, alcohol and saying you can only keep your job if you get a vaccine.

Again I got Moderna eventually but truthfully I got it because of the job threat even though that was eventually stopped. I respect whatever someone chooses to do in their life and I don't stop and think "is this friend vaccinated"

These companies made so much money so we should on a basic level be able to ask wtf just happened

Nah honestly the media was mixed because they caught Biden saying the same thing too. They adjusted soon after. Its part of why I waited at first. I essentially was like "cool the iPhone 1 dropped let me wait and see if they update " which they eventually did for variants and gained a lot of data from people. That’s literally the case. Immunity from the original strain with the previous vaccines were in the high 80s, low 90s percentage wise, and it started to dip when Delta came around and significantly dropped with Omicron.

Delta didn’t really become widespread until last summer, then Omicron was late Fall, early Winter

The CDC in this quote is trying to explain that by having the vaccine you are not spreading the virus, as in, the vaccine doesnt give u the virus itself so people who are vaccinated arent shedding the virus. Back when the mandate was going on things were worded much differently and kept updating. I am in short saying some of the updating including 1 mask, 2 mask, booster needed, 2 booster, 3 booster and misinformation will lead to a lack of public trust in the future.
