It's still crazy to me that I've been the most healthy during the covid era.
When people are more conscientious about washing hands/wearing masks, you're gonna get less germs spread.
Just posted this in the monkeypox thread but now that I’m finally past day 10 and testing negative with no symptoms besides the cough I went to go pick up food and wore a mask and some old piece of s*** called me a queer
thats a new one

Makes sense. Also businesses are sanitizing more frequently.
Ay for the record I just got COVID from this girl I'm f***ing.
You do not want it. It's pretty ass so far.

Very glad I got the vaccine. Can't imagine this being much worse

You on day one of symptoms? That was by far the peak for me and prob the sickest I’ve ever been, fever and chills and soreness and shortness of breath and everything
Grab a s***load of blankets and try to sweat the fever out. Mine broke overnight and things were far less s*** from there. Highly recommend flovent if you aren’t able to do paxlovid and you have any kind of chest inflammation/respiratory s***. It took a few days to kick in for me but it’s been a lifesaver since
Also absofuckinglutely about the vaccine, glad you got it too man. Cannot imagine without

Yeah but crazy thing is I have nothing fever wise. I had some chest congestion and alot of nasal congestion.
If I can make it through today I think I'll be sailing smoothly. Today sucks ass though. Plus staying home from work for a week is 50/50.
Good because days off, bad because no money

Well s*** that’s great about no fever at least! Get some tea and cough drops and ride it out. S***ty about work for sure but I’m glad you’re able to have time to rest. Godspeed fam

Day 1/2 i didn't sleep for over 40 hrs (drifting in and out of consciousness for a few minutes).
Them fevers man were some of the most brutal sickness i've ever gone through.
Went from being extremely hot and wearing the birthday suit and then cold as s***, rocking a northface ski jacket and elephant jeans in my bed.
legit thought it was life threatening s*** was so extreme.
Then i eventually got better all together it took 10 days with each day getting better, but shiiiit covid is brutal

How you feeling b?
Keep hydrated (very important) it's insane, but each day gets better. It's a slow better after 12 days i was back doing my normal s***.
Those days when i was infected i was just so weak and the brain fog
Glad i had Wimbledon, The Wire & Sopranos boxset to keep me occupied.

Very similar trajectory here, after day 1 the fever broke but I had shortness of breath and cold symptoms for another week until the flovent started kicking in. Today’s 13 days since symptoms began and have been testing negative and feeling great besides a light cough since day 10, my goal is to never get that s*** again

it's a rough and rowdy ride that eases you back into normality. the first two days are so tough waves to ride after that the isolation begins and 10 to 12 days stuck in are just as tough as the recovery.
Prays b to everyone struggling
Update: I am currently riding the f***ing lightning man.
No fever thankfully, but I'm having fever like dreams.
I'm getting hot and cold flashes and I sleep like 12 hours a day.
I hope this gets better tomorrow cuz I'm all f***ed up right here.

I can relate to this alot. In ny experience the fevers and the flashes of hot and cold were an annoyance and the worst part of my experience with covid.
My symptoms seemed to simmer down with each passing day, but it's a long process when we're talking about 10-12+ days locked up being sick and the cabin fever nature.
I just binged the wire and the sopranos just to hurry up my day because i couldn't do anything, but be bed bound for the first 5 days or so.
I'd recommend keeping as hydrated as you can eat some fruit for that natural energy and keep yourself occupied with something that doesn't consume too much energy.
I wish you best Bo.

Thank you man. I really do appreciate it.
I'm trying to stay hydrated. I ran out of fruits on Saturday so that's an iffy situation.
Worst part is I have to go back to work on Friday. At least it's one day but I know I haven't had enough recovery time.

Have you got someone to get you some food and leave it at your door?
Oh, man that sucks have you tried explaining the situation to your boss?
I'm fortunate my employer was understandable and they let me back when i felt back to normal.

It's the policy at the company that employees are only out for 5 days unless they have serious symptoms so I'll talk to him tomorrow if I feel terrible. I can prolly buy myself one more day.
I might have to ask my mom to run and get some. Me and my girl are both down and out atm.
Is there even any point of getting booster(s)? I’m double vaxxed so is it really that necessary

sorry to hear. Glad you’re getting as much rest as you are at least. That s*** really does help

It really helps man. I’m not lying when I said this s*** sucks. You want as much help as possible from your immune system

i had the booster 'cause i'd rather be safe than sorry
and just felt more comfortable about the entire fiasco that the pandemic has been
I got a booster in like January or so, might have to try another one towards the end of year

Should’ve said “you’re right, lemme take this off” and coughed in his face tbh
