You know what? Anti-vaxxers do have their freedom of choice in getting vaccinated or not.

Schools, companies, restaurants, etc also have the freedom of choice in allowing unvaxxed students, employees, customers into their establishment.

So why are anti-vaxxers saying that is unfair that they are getting fired from work for not being vaccinated? Is it not the employers' choice in whether or not to allow unvaxxed individuals into their place of business? Are they wrong for choosing to keep the rest of their staff and clientele safe? Does "freedom of choice" not apply for them? Isn't that unfair?

Many of these same employers overworked people last year with no vaccine, weak precautions and were fully willing to let their employees die. So it is understandable why they are untrusting. With already such a trash job market this will just lead to the unvaccinated getting jobs where they can be unvaccinated or either way just test weekly as we really should have been doing for all since beginning of the year if we really cared about the spread.

There are many steps we would take that we are not if this was truly about "keeping people safe"

    math fifty

For as much as I don't like vaccine mandates I agree 100% here

Employment is (typically) at will in this country and businesses can refuse service to anyone

I just think it sets a bad precedent considering how unpredictable the virus + vaccines are. Like look at the booster shot situation. Youre gonna have to subscribe to Pfizer every few months to eat at a restauraunt

Imagine losing your job because you dont want to take the 5th booster shot

They gonna "keep people safe" because a more sick and contaminated environment means less employees. Which leads to s*** service. Which leads to less customers. Which leads to less money. Which is the only thing they genuinely care about, but in order to get that, they'll have to do something in order to provide some form of peace of mind to employees and customers.

Issa very simple flowchart of events.

lol if they are under 100 employee or their company chooses they can easily mitigate this or just get tested weekly. AGAIN TEST WEEKLY SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE RATHER THAN JUST CLICK A BUTTON ON SCREEN SAYING "I DONT GOT COVID" BEFORE YOU CLOCK IN

Yeah I am shocked they aint giving ideas on how to return smell and taste. I got one friend who cant taste or smell still

I can’t complain too much because I can taste and smell but it’s just not 100% and sometimes i’ll still smell that odd smell that gets reported. I feel bad for the people that lost it for a whole year or so

Yeah got one friend who loves food and still gets cravings even though she cant taste she going on like 8 or 9 months. long covid effects. she vaccinated now and got kids. S*** wild to me that all these vaccine arguments happening but very little on how to reverse or heal long covid from people who caught it before a vaccine existed who were social distancing and doing everything reasonably right

lol its more like run it by the government.....

especially when many vaccinated take less or no precautions or never get tested. I can again as I have said in this thread multiple times only control my actions and my own life.

I mean I never really debated "fair" or "unfair" I get your point why a company makes their own decisions but a company isnt really making their own decisions if its a mandate . That is the main point. If a company decided to do so on their own volition isnt really the discussion because they had all year to make their own decisions

it isnt a choice by schools, companies, restaurants its a mandate in most of those cases that you listed. Of course for a good reason but its a mandate at least on the employee side because they have over 100 people. As for if they have customers or people that visit including parents picking up their children being required to be vaccinated that is a choice but a choice that I dont see them making

Which is why I am confused on your point especially in the case of students where many age ranges arent approved to be vaccinated yet

Like a Mandate is not a choice all they got to read

    Nothing else

Yes many of the businesses agree with the mandate but those that don't thats not a choice

we can argue or discuss whether the Mandate should be further or lesser reaching but its not a choice

we ain't talking whether AMC lets people unvaccinated in(which they do everywhere but LA which kicks in November) but again thats not even a choice thats a law

many businesses in my area including concert venues and bars have their own "we need to see vaccination no test or we allow test within 72 " hours thats a choice

but much of what people are talking about in this thread are laws which involve OSHA

    by definition not a choice

Nah with the time you’re getting it I would hope that the virus continues to decrease to a point where it’s not a prevalent day to day issue. So then nobody would need to get it if they don’t want to
