The reason is simply that, the longer they live unvaccinated, the higher the chance that the virus continues to mutate (and potentially eventually lead to a strain that is resistant to the vaccine) and this s*** show we’ve been living in the last year and a half continues.

Back before vaccines this would make sense, since there was nothing anyone could do about it. But with vaccines now it’s literally people’s choice to protect themselves or not.

Also you seem to keep missing the main point. viruses mutate to different variants, they mutate in the unvaccinated, the more unvaxxed people who contract covid, the more chance we get new variants that this current vaccine may not protect. We’ve gotten lucky with Delta but thats all it is, luck.

I think there’s ways to socially accost the unvaccinated (which should be done), but it sets a bad precedent when you start turning away a certain subset of people.

Although, at this point, people who need to go to hospitals for non-Covid reasons are unable to get a bed bc of Covid hospitalizations, and these should NOT be a massive problem anymore
