They try to confirm beforehand if you're sick with anything before giving you the vaccine. It's tough on the immune system in general, let alone getting it when you're already sick.

I had a pretty mild sinus infection when I got my first shot and it was no big deal, but if you have covid or a full blown cold or something, I wouldn't do it.
