COVID running through my friend group
Where you live?
Denver
Has anyone heard of people catching covid at mass vaccination sites?
They’re extremely socially distanced and outdoors and masks are mandatory
The odds would be extraordinarily low
Daily average of vaccines has been slowly but surely going down. Need J&J back asappppp
the second dose is when the chip is activated

I'm worried because this wasn't the case at the clinic where I went.
No social distancing in the line into the building but I don't have to sweat that because I let them know that was f***ed up and waited by myself 30 feet away.
Then there was the check in lobby - I wasn't particularly close to anyone there but there was a group of people all waiting together, no distance. Five to seven people in that group. Part of that group might have been a family and there were also the people running the clinic, who weren't distanced at all but I'm guessing at the very least they're vaccinated.
The clinic was indoors in a gymnasium - wasn't close to anyone there and it was a big room and they said they had air purifiers going but that lobby was enough to get me shook on the whole thing.
My fiancée's parents were supposed to fly out from Bangladesh friday but their lockdown just got extended to the 28th and their flight got cancelled
We're supposed to have our nikah in May so I hope covid spread in BD goes down soon

Oh gotcha that sucks
I think it must be the official city/state/federal ones that are good with social distancing then

This one was with the city of Boston smfh
I'm hoping I'm just overblowing this - I keep trying to tell myself the only time I had any proximity to people was in that lobby and even then I wasn't close to anyone so I should be okay
Anyone else get the J&J?
Ngl I'm a little shook, but only because my family has a terrible history w diabetes and my mom dealt w blood clots before she passed 😔

So far, the only instance of blood clots are in women between 18 and 48. And it was only 6 out of 7 million as of now so it’s super rare still
“Suspicion is rising that these rare cases may be triggered by the adenovirus component of the AstraZeneca and J&J vaccines,” said Eleanor Riley, a professor of immunology and infectious diseases at the University of Edinburgh. She said that while more data was needed, “it remains the case that for the vast majority of adults in Europe and the USA, the risks associated with contracting COVID-19 far, far outweigh any risk of being vaccinated.”
lmao they really trying their hardest with the headlines to get people not to take it
