My family might have been to a super spreader event last weekend

Long story short my great aunt died in NY, so my mom, aunt, grandma and their cousin drove up there to attend the funeral. I stayed because of work and I had my vaccine appointment. They came back and now my aunt and my moms cousin have symptoms. I’m worried for all of them but my mom especially because she has COPD and asthma

I have family members in NY who are anti-mask, pro Trump, etc. and the funeral home didn’t limit capacity. Mom double masked and sanitized OD and didn’t leave the hotel beyond the funeral.

Mom has been attacking her immune system with vitamins and is on top of her asthma meds so I think she’ll be okay in the end but still super worried. Worried for all of them.

My issue is like why invite a ton of people to a funeral DURING A PANDEMIC THAT HAS KILLED MILLIONS?????? I get you want to celebrate life and all but during a pandemic?????
