I’ve seen a bunch of different articles on Remdesivir that are giving mixed pictures on the benefit of it. I don’t have full access to the article you quoted me with on my phone, so I can’t really speak at length about it.
But this recent article from the New England Journal of Medicine (one of the best journals for medicine out there) shows a significant benefit in recovery time in hospitalized patients receiving Remdesivir:
nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2007764
I’ve seen other articles showing benefit in recovery time for patients receiving Remdesivir for 5 days.
At our hospital, we give Remdesivir to patients who meet any of the following:
-Blood oxygen saturation <95%
-Requiring supplemental oxygen
-Mechanically ventilated
I personally believe that Remdesivir is beneficial, and until more data comes out I believe we will continue to use it in hospitalized patients who meet the above criteria
Anyone still unemployed for the last 10 months cause of Covid? I live in the states and I’m getting really depressed man. The year is almost over and I am still unemployed
Haven’t worked since April . If you got unemployment I think it’s goat but if you didn’t then yea rly bad

Yeah same here. Had two jobs but been furloughed since March. Trying to find something new since I’ve graduated not long ago but it’s hard af. Can’t even find internship and it’s stressing me tf out. Feeling like a loser, thinking about just finding whatever bs job till I’ll land something in my field.
Feel hopeless af, you go to college thinking after you graduate you’ll be fine finding a job but reality is much gruesome. Partially my fault for not interning while I was still in school.

Yes but boosted unemployment helped me out. Feel bad for people who lost their jobs from august to now though since they missed out and still no 2nd stimulus deal has been made

thank you for your insight... resident ktt doc
I know a guy who recovered in NY (March) who swore by it, but you never know how things would go without in a certain case.
71,000 cases
Cali only contributed 3,100 of them, 4.3% of the total when we account for 11% of the US population.
Texas is going to pass us up for most cases in the next week or two. Pretty wild considering we have 10 million more people. But then it's not because their leadership doesn't give a damn.

Don't feel like a loser. As long as you're putting in the effort, hating on yourself is a waste of time because there are so many extraneous factors involved in your success that you can't control.
I was unemployed until September and at age 29 I have more degrees and certificates than almost anyone I know. Felt like absolute s*** about myself, like I was dragging my whole family down and that they would be better off without me.
Long story short, I did keep pushing and broke through into my field eventually. It can happen, even in a s***ty situation like this. But sometimes people need encouragement to keep going and I'm telling you from personal experience that it can be worth it.
Yo guys are we really heading towards a second lock down in US? I heard Europe is heading that way

I feel your pain it was hard for me to get back working again my job didn’t want me to come back because it was too slow, but those UI benefits ended so I needed something. I work for a hotel and we literally have been so slow since we lost a lot of our business clientele due to the lack of travel, s*** sucks
