The only hope I have for Cali is that our leadership is not in Trump's pocket and will scale things back if necessary. Newsom is not DeSantis.

But...we ain't going back to March. It's not going to happen. The resistance to it would be so obnoxious and disruptive that they won't bother. You'll have basically the entire state protesting and counter-protesting and the state leadership has already thrown their support behind BLM, so they can't force any protesters to go home without taking an enormous political risk.

They need to start fining people for not wearing masks and shut down all businesses that don't comply with regulations. The original guidelines were decent but they need to be enforced. If they're not, this is what you get.

Furthermore, extend extra unemployment for another couple months and finally do the rent freeze. People should not have to decide between their homes and their health.

Americans care about money more than their own health, if you hurt their wallets then they will start paying attention. Probably can’t enforce regular stores but public areas can 100% be enforced and fine anyone not wearing a mask $100 per person

The pride people have in their own ignorance is f***ing weird. A lot of people here actually don’t even believe coronavirus is real or was ever real. It’s crazy.

Like how much to time can someone spend trying to convince people that doctors might actually know what they’re talking about you just give up? Ohio had to started airing these “That’s what I believe” ads last week where they have doctors trying to convince people that the spread of coronavirus is real bc of the amount of people in the state that believe medical professionals have an agenda and the virus is hoax. Our state Health Director was pushed out of her position a few weeks ago because she wasn’t telling people they wanted to hear.
