spongechadI'm supposed to study abroad in japan starting in a couple weeks, I heard today from people in Japan that it's not nearly as much of a state of panic as in the US. It's kind of a risk but I'd say go for it
I’m not scared of the actual virus - I feel like the chances of me getting it is roughly the same anywhere. I am however scared of travel bans once I am abroad because I don’t want to be stuck in a foreign country

I seriously doubt Japan will get travel banned, they have like 700 cases right now whereas the main European countries that got travel banned have like 3000+, and it has been in Japan for several weeks longer. The bigger issue is if Japan will ban US citizens from entering by the time you go imo
