My wife works in editing for a trailer/film and television advertising company and it's very possible that she might not have to go back to the office until all social distancing measures are completely removed. So maybe not even this year. That's the good news.

The bad news is that until Hollywood completely reopens, they're still going with a 15% pay cut for everyone. So that sucks. I'm having a hell of a time finding any work in education because no one even knows what the plan is for the fall, let alone willing to hire anyone new on.

At the start of the pandemic, people were panicking about immunity and mutations, but all signs point to a fairly static virus, at least based on the last 6 months.

Influenza viruses tend to mutate much more quickly, which is why I've been saying that a "stronger" second wave of coronavirus comparable to the Spanish flu coming up in a few months isn't very rational.

Could be wrong but a lot of that is because they're allowing non-essential surgeries. COVID is not the main contributor there.
