Yes, there are parallels for sure and thats good, but in some countries there will be more critical cases than we think. Mexico, Brazil and Russia haven't reported new critical cases numbers in days and all three of them will have more. How can it be that Mexico had its new peak with 257 deaths today, when they are said to have only 378 critical cases?
I gave you my reasoning. I think the virus is behaving differently than it was months ago and the mutations we've been finding bear that out. It's also possible that these countries acted more quickly with their testing than the US or Italy.

Definitely as I said, we will have way more cases worldwide soon but the number of deaths will remain at one level or decrease even further.
Now that there are dozens of countries that are experiencing an outbreak, this can't be avoided. The European countries that had the first outbreak and are mostly done with it are likely to fall behind very soon.
I don't really expect that countries like Germany will be in the top 10 in a few weeks, and that's a good thing.

Although more follow-up work is needed to determine just how protective these antibodies are and for how long, these findings suggest that the immune systems of people who survive COVID-19 have been be primed to recognize SARS-CoV-2 and possibly thwart a second infection.
Specifically, the researchers determined that nearly all of the 285 patients studied produced a type of antibody called IgM, which is the first antibody that the body makes when fighting an infection. Though only about 40 percent produced IgM in the first week after onset of COVID-19, that number increased steadily to almost 95 percent two weeks later.
