My dad had a cough for like 2 weeks, no other Covid like symptoms, but that stressed me tf out

When I call my dad in Maryland, he'll occasionally mention his cough that he's had for months and I really wish he'd get tested

My mother in law who is a nurse just got a negative result this week, which was a relief

I don't really get a runny nose, but I will sneeze a few times occasionally, and I always got the post nasal drip going so I'm constantly clearing my throat.

I'm just nervous cause it's coming up on exactly 1 calendar year since I had any kind of serious cold or flu. I'm long overdue

jk I know that's not how it works... I hope.

Congrats on the good immune system

Congrats on the good immune system

I would even share blunts with my homegirl when she was getting over a cold and I still didn't get sick

I wash my hands A LOT though. Also, I know people are the least contagious once they've almost gotten over it.

I think I'm good against the corona

I ain't rollin that dice though

If we're honest... except NY nothing changed for the US

I also have a bad feeling that Illinois will catch a huge outbreak soon.

    I hope we don’t

Chinese refuse to look into helping find the origin of the virus... What are they hiding?

They were welding people's doors shut in Wuhan ...

    WHAT DO THEY KNOW?

    This is REALLY interesting

    amp.theage.com.au/world/europe/experts-fail-to-find-a-single-case-of-children-passing-virus-to-adults-20200430-p54ohi.html?fbclid=IwAR2Vo1fK9wbg6n-fY62GG2AqgpcQp9rGDoTLVz1JOoHSFZ20jnbqhlISvi0

They mention a story that's been going around about a kid who got coronavirus not passing it on to any of the 170+ people he had come into contact with. I think researching these cases could be instrumental in finding an effective vaccine. You can already see the mechanism at work.

    thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/495519-maryland-governor-says-coronavirus-tests-acquired-from-south-korea-under

"Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said Thursday that thousands of coronavirus tests obtained by the state from South Korea are currently protected in an undisclosed location by the Maryland National Guard.

Asked in a Washington Post Live interview whether he was concerned the federal government would seize the tests, Hogan acknowledged “it was a little bit of a concern.”

Asked whether the National Guard was continuing to protect the tests from seizure, Hogan responded, “They are.”"

Governors are really moving like cartel bosses rn

Haha my mom is in MD and has been giving me updates. The governor got a hookup through his Korean wife and Trump was furious.

Today I took a closer look at South America and Africa.

South America will definitely become an epicenter in the next few weeks or will be close to it. Brazil has already big numbers every day and Peru had over 3000 new infections today (despite a long lockdown now, which is strange - same for Chile, over 1,000 cases today but they have a lockdown too for almost weeks already). We all know about Ecuador, the numbers at the moment aren't accurate. It doesn't look particularly good for Mexico either.

Colombia has constant numbers, they don't grow or fall (probably because of less testing). Venezuela seems to be doing a good job and is testing like crazy (333 cases, over 450,000 tests).

Africa is quite critical in my opinion. Despite a very strict lockdown in Nigeria, they have increasing numbers (204 cases and 7 deaths today). Ghana had 403 new cases (a new peak) today, and South Africa continues to grow.

Everything is slower there because they don't have large test capacities. I think the numbers will increase gradually in Africa, for many countries, in the coming weeks. WHO already said that the summer in Africa could be very serious and worse. That is quite possible, if you look at the slow increases each day.

I can’t even talk to my dad about this anymore lmao. We had like an hour long debate over why someone would get tested with no symptoms

Hopefully the timing will work that larger countries can get out of their peaks in time to provide some testing capability for these places

Why does Bill Gates get so much hate

With all this COVID-19 business going on, been seeing so many people hate on him. Basically calling him the devil

Any time I see him interviewed, he’s always talking about charities and wanting to help people

Watching the CNN town hall rn with him and he seems like a good dude
