How many deaths a day will we be at in 1-2 months when we start to open things up?

Already hitting about 2000 on avg for the past few weeks.

Could we hit 5k+ deaths a day during peak (hit 3k one or two days here)?

Way too many factors to accurately predict what the summer is going to look like. Weather, slight viral mutations, available treatments, proliferation in nursing homes, etc all play a role.

If we really want to curb death totals without outright lying about them, contact tracing and constant testing in nursing homes should be the priority. If we're rolling with remdesivir or some other treatment, make sure batches are reserved for these communities. I've heard they can make up as much as half the deaths in some areas.

The bad:

-Downtown LA is a s***hole outside of, like, the plaza around the Staples Center
-It's expensive so if you miss a couple paychecks you're basically homeless
-The LA girl stereotype is true and there are way too many vain, basic women
-Not all that great for art/museums relative to its size
-Commuting really is as bad as they say
-Weather in the summer is trash unless you live by the beach, every day feels the same

The good:

-Amazing food and actually quite affordable in the valley
-Lots of geographic variety; you could ski and surf on the same day
-The best place on earth if you like movies, you can see everything and meet all of your favorite actors/directors if you go to Q&As
-The women are fine as hell, even if they are pretty basic
-Lots of great concert venues, you can see anyone you want to see
-It's easy to stay fit and motivated when everyone else is so driven here, it's not psychologically healthy but it works

I don't know how people who live in Reseda and Northridge have the urge go hiking in the summer. It's like living on the sun. I have a friend who splits time between Eagle Rock and Northridge and he's always trying to go to the canyons in July and s***.

haha i'm not sure how that is, I live in FL and was just visiting but yeah Ojai was def. hotter than Ventura, it's pretty crazy how drastic temperatures can change from location to location (just 5-10 miles apart) in California, you don't get that here in Florida because of the flatter land.
