Fam, I had a breakdown in March and thought about killing myself. The news I was reading was literally making me sicker. But I have a daughter who needs me and I can't be giving out negative energy all the time. I reevaluated where I got my info from and focused on three things:

    1. Communities that specialize in good news about the virus WITHOUT a bullshit political agenda
    2. Local news relevant to me
    3. Raw data

So that's what I give you guys. I figure it's best to say nothing if there's nothing good to say, not because bad news is invalid but because it's probably already been said. Good news is so hard to find these days.

    You're the best noir! <3

Financial problems, mostly. I spent two and a half years on my credential only to get further in debt, then the moment I'm able to start applying for work, the lockdowns kicked in. I did get an interview or two but then got stonewalled for almost a month and nothing new was going up. At the time, it wasn't clear if my wife's office was going to be able to transition into a fully online interface and our savings account wasn't all that after a tough year in 2019. Pretty bleak at the time.

Things mostly worked out though. I had a followup interview with a school that I'm waiting to hear back from and the wife is still working from home, just at a 15% paycut. The stimulus check mostly balanced that out.

Point is, sometimes you just gotta hang in there and give yourself a chance, see what happens

I would have said Toronto if you asked me this last summer, but I finally visited Toronto after almost 9 years this past August and it was f***ing trash. Over populated, dirty af, expensive.

I hated saint Louis and tbh I really enjoyed the two summers I spend in Dallas but my college town in Springfield Illinois is what I enjoyed the most. Spend 8 years there cause I got a bachelors and masters and while getting my masters I worked so it took me 4 years. Not a fan of the burbs of Chicago at all

    lol over populated and dirty?

you were in brampton bro and not other parts of the gta lmaoo

Japan is approving remdesivir in May:

    english.kyodonews.net/news/2020/04/96de780ad3e1-japan-to-approve-remdesivir-for-coronavirus-patients-in-may.html

So, somewhere in the world, there will soon be a sanctioned treatment for COVID-19. If it works as intended there, it'll make its way over here before you know it.

Never thought of all countries that Russia would be hit so badly with that. If this continues, they will very quickly overtake everyone except the USA. S***s crazy
