One of many frustrating things is that you can't even really feel any optimism about the US case numbers when there are positive signs because of all the testing suppression.

Like in the last 24 hours: 25,900 cases and 800 of those are from a 2 week old backlog that Cali is sorting through, so they're not really "new." It's the second time in 3 days that we've had a count that low and only the third time this month.

But it's hard to feel any optimism when you know testing is not going at the rate it should be.

DAE miss talking 2 real ppl in physical spaces and TOUCHING objects

  • Apr 22, 2020

this can happen because some states have tested less. new york tested 30,000 people a day last week, today only 15,000.

if the number of infected people falls, it doesn't mean immediately it gets better. you have to be able to read a trend over several days and we haven't had that here yet. sometimes the cases went down for a day, then suddenly went up again.

We are 15,000 deaths away from the 60,000 projection. 2,804 people died today. We are definitely going over that. Especially with Texas, Florida, and Georgia opening up. This is horrible.

This is what happens when you make individual states be responsible for providing tests.

Maryland got coronavirus test kits secured because the governor's wife was Korean, and then not many other states seem to give a f*** about testing.

Bruh f*** anyone smoking in public right now. It's not the law in my city that we have to wear masks every time we go out in public, only in stores, so others should respect that and look out for them. Believe me, if it was the law, I would be following it to the letter just like I have everything else during the lockdown.

No one should have to worry about walking through a cloud of aerosols when they go to take out the garbage. This isn't Casablanca. Go hotbox in your f***ing car.
